About the Brotherhood Golf Classic

The BHC Brotherhood Golf Classic is coordinated TOTALLY by volunteers. There is no management fee, staff, or overhead.

The BHC Brotherhood is a membership organization of men who are dedicated to supporting and serving the community.

Now in its 6th year, proceeds benefit the many worthy programs and charities that the BHC Brotherhood supports, including BHC Youth Activities and education programs. Previous tournaments have provided $6,000 to Manna House, Inc., and recently helped to fund a confirmation class (10th grade) Relief Mission to New Orleans, where students worked for Habitat for Humanity and Common Ground in the toughest hit Lower 9th Ward and St. Bernards district.

The tournament accept all golfers, regardless of skill level, gender, or any other demographic, including religion. This is a fun, low competition tournament. We have a great time, great food, while raising funds for a great cause.

As the men's organization of the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation (BHC), the Brotherhood provides personnel for the Sunday School Traffic Squad, the "Chicken Flickers" (that cook and serve family dinners) and ushers for Sabbath services. Along with other activities, the Brotherhood coordinates a monthly Breakfast series of local personaliites speaking on a wide range of topics.

In addition, the Brotherhood participates in interfaith activites, including the support of the Jewish Chautauqua Society lectures at local colleges. The Baltimore Hebrew Congregation (BHC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
