Turkey Bowl For more than 20 years, the BHC Brotherhood has served breakfast for Manna House, Inc. in downtown Baltimore on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter mornings. Wanting to do more for those less fortunate and homeless on Thanksgiving Day (November 22) the Brotherhood hosted a "Turkey Bowl" from 10:00 AM - 12 noon at the BHC field. Fathers and their children played in this fun flag football game, which was "sold out". The admission "price" to in the game was non-perishable food items,or a check made payable to Manna House, Inc or another benefactor, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Maryland. Participants received free t-shirts donated by Capt'n Jerry's through the efforts of Brotherhood member Scott "on the spot" Furman. The event was coordinated by "Flyin' Brian" Rubin. Photos by Max "the Ax" Rozga. Just prior to the Turkey Bowl, from 8:00 - 10:00 AM, other Brotherhood mensches ... some bringing their families, served 300 plates breakfast. The breakfast consists of a large plate filled to the brim with scrambled eggs, sausage, and hash browns. Also served is coffee and orange juice. Many recipients were grateful for the warm hospitality and generosity.
